Click HereThe Global Geomatics offers a comprehensive suite of services to support architectural, engineering, and
construction projects. Our project managers have access to a large in-house staff of geospatial professionals in Land
Surveying, Right of Way, Subsurface Investigations,
Aerial Surveying and Mapping, Geographic Information Systems,
and 3D Laser Scanning. Few, if any, of our competitors offer this full range of capabilities
in-house.
We perform and coordinate this work internally for hand-off to our client. Our Coordinator
work closely with Client to fulfill the accurate, comprehensive, and timely delivery of project services. This reduces
the likelihood of introducing errors often
associated with transferring data between parties, all while enhancing the quality of the data provided to
design teams.
Quality information is the foundation for adding value to engineering designs, and
reduces the chance of unwelcome, and often costly, surprises later in the construction process.
Can be much more cost effective for large areas, saving labor hours on the ground.
Can be used to map terrain that is difficult or unsafe.
Provides current view of the landscape that cannot be represented on a map.
Can be flown with Color Infrared (CIR) for multi spectral display to help identify additional ground features.
By knowing about utilities and underground obstructions ahead of time, our clients are better able to manage their risk on the project site. If construction occurs, knowing the location of buried objects beforehand allows for cost savings during construction and better scheduling. Keeping the work internal to APS allows for better quality, responsiveness, and better control on the end product.
Read MoreAll projects require mapping of existing
conditions and features and each mapping
technology carries its own impact on cost,
schedule, and quality.
Involving surveyors
early in the project planning and scoping
process reduces project risk by confirming the
appropriate mapping technologies are being
used to meet the project’s needs.
A persistent problem in successfully
managing a
Design Build or P-3 project is early involvement
of the ROW component. initiating the ROW
component into the planning,
design, and
construction from the start will guide the
integration process to make sure delivery of
“vacant possession” to meet the schedule.
GIS provides a single database for project
teams to access all project data. This helps
prevent data version issues and errors that
could arise from using old data. The data can
be disseminated using a web map or desktop
application depending on preferences and
project needs.
3D Laser Scanning has been proven to reduce
errors in the field, provide a higher accuracy
and volume of measurement information,
and minimize the exposure risk to personnel
in the field.
APS recognizes the value of
this technology and has incorporated it as a
standard tool for architecture, civil engineering,
oil and gas, and land surveying projects.
